The Navico 000-15385-001 is a critical network component used to provide proper 120-ohm impedance matching at the end of an NMEA 2000 (N2K) backbone. Unlike standard end-cap terminators, this in-line version allows a device at the extreme end of a network to be connected through the terminator itself, effectively closing the circuit while still facilitating data flow to the final unit.
It is commonly used in space-constrained installations or when a network run extends to a remote location—such as up a mast to a wind sensor or to a rudder feedback unit at the transom—where a traditional T-connector and end-cap would be too bulky.
Key Features:
Space-Saving Termination: Combines the function of a T-connector and a terminator into a single, streamlined in-line component.
Impedance Matching: Includes a 120-ohm resistor to prevent signal reflection and ensure the integrity of the NMEA 2000 data stream.
Strategic Placement: Replaces one of the two standard end-cap terminators required for a healthy NMEA 2000 network.
Durable Construction: Fully waterproof and marine-grade for reliable performance in harsh, high-vibration environments.
Compatibility: Works with all NMEA 2000 certified devices from Simrad, Lowrance, B&G, Garmin, and more.
Installation Note: Do not exceed 6 meters (approx. 20 feet) of NMEA 2000 cabling between this in-line terminator and the final product at the end of the network
